1. Page wide establishing splash panel. Exterior, Hag Graef, night. We focus
particularly on the lit window of Malus's tower chamber.

TITLE: DARKBLADE

TITLE: BOOK III: THRONE OF BLOOD

FROM TOWER: AAAAAIIIIEEEEEEEEE!


2. Interior, the tower. We're on a torchlit stone landing outside the shut,
heavy door of Malus's chambers. Three Dark Elf guards are there, one
hammering frantically on the door, the others racing up from the spiral
stairwell behind.

THRU DOOR: AAIGHH! NO! NOOO! AAAAIIIEE!

GUARD: BLOODY-HANDED GOD! THOSE SCREAMS!

HAMMERING GUARD:
THEY COME FROM LORD DARKBLADE'S APARTMENTS! THE
DOOR IS LOCKED FAST!


3. The three of them start smashing at the resilient door. SILAR THORNBLOOD,
sword drawn and anxious, races up the stairs behind them.

GUARD: HELP ME BREAK IT DOWN!
SILAR: GUARDS! WHAT IS THIS CLAMOUR?

2ND GUARD: MY LORD SILAR! SOME FOUL MURDER IS BEING DONE
WITHIN MALUS DARKBLADE'S CHAMBER!


4. Silar yells an angry command to the guards as they redouble their
efforts.

FROM DOOR: AIIEEGHHYYKKK! AAIIEEKK!

SILAR: IN THE NAME OF KHAINE! BREAK IT DOWN! BREAK IT DOWN!


5. Biggest panel on page. Silar leaps back in horror as the door splinters
apart OUTWARDS, the crackling, blood-spattered TZ'ARKAN exploding through.
His talons rip apart two of the guards, and send the other sprawling.

FX: SKRRUUNTCHHH!
